Dean Gatin – Director of Grain Quality Division
Dean Gatin began his career in agriculture as a grain inspector in Calgary. He developed a passion for malting barley and joined the malting industry as a selector. To round out his operational experience he became an elevator manager in rural Manitoba. An opportunity with an independent producer terminal presented itself and Dean moved back to Alberta. Later on a desire to be closer to family brought him home to Manitoba where he helped create the Grain Quality division of Agri-Trend Marketing Inc.
Dean’s core values center around fairness and honesty. He wants to help producers understand their grain positions in terms of quality, allowing them to make informed decisions based on their inventory. He enjoys travelling, meeting farmers, and being with his friends and colleagues. He`s also been known to sneak in a round of golf whenever possible.
Dean and his wife Cathy live in Winnipeg with their beautiful one year old daughter Hillary.
